Professional / Vocational educational Scholarship programme

The management of the Cosmos Foundation grants financial assistance under the Cosmos Foundation Educational Scholarship’ scheme. This initiative is designed to empower deserving students to achieve the minimum educational qualifications required to secure stable employment or professional services. The granting of this scholarship is subject to candidates meeting all eligibility criteria and strictly complying with the official rules and regulations of the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate is eligible to apply for the Cosmos Foundation Educational Scholarship if he/she satisfies the following eligibility criteria:

1. Academic Qualifications: The candidate has successfully passed the SSC and/or HSC board examinations having secured such to the satisfaction of the Foundation’s management.

2. State Residency: The candidate must be a member of a family that is resident of the State of Maharashtra for the period of more than 15 years.

3. General Family Income: The total gross annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed ₹5,00,000/- , OR , if the candidate belongs to an agricultural family, the combined gross annual income from agriculture and other sources should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.             

4. Course & Institutional Recognition: The candidate must be pursuing further education in a certificate course or diploma from an institution recognized by the Central Government, State Government, a UGC-recognized University, a semi-government institution, or any other institution approved by the Government of Maharashtra.

5. Eligibility Disclaimer: A candidate who fulfils the above conditions may apply for the Cosmos Foundation Vocational/Professional Educational Scholarship. Fulfilment of eligibility does not confer the right to receive the scholarship and that selection is subject to availability of funds and approval of the management.

Terms & Conditions

1. Application Submission: The candidate must submit the application in the prescribed form provided by Cosmos Foundation, either in Marathi or English, before the end of 15/08/2026. Applications can be sent by Registered Post or be submitted online through the link given below.

2. Accurate Documentation: The candidate must complete the form in full and attach all required documents, such as certified copy of 10th/12th standard mark sheet or last qualifying examination mark sheet and certificate.

3. Multi-Scholarship Restrictions: Candidates already receiving a scholarship, stipend, or donation from any Central Government scheme, State Government scheme, or any other private/semi-government institution for the course for which application is submitted with Cosmos Foundation, are not eligible for Cosmos Foundation Scholarship. If such a candidate applies, the management is under no obligation to consider the application.

 4. Penalties for False Information: If a candidate provides false, incorrect, or incomplete information, or suppresses any material fact in the application, the application will be rejected. If such facts are discovered after disbursement, the management reserves the right to recover the scholarship amount already paid.

5. Required Documents & Submission: Eligible candidates are required to submit application form for scholarship in prescribed form and shall submit the same along with documents required by the Cosmos Foundation within a stipulated period given by the management, either in person or by speed post acknowledgment due.

Payment

The Cosmos Foundation Scholarship will be granted to eligible candidates up to a maximum of ₹10,000 per annum, or 50% of the tuition fees, whichever is lower, per academic year subject to performance of the candidate for the academic year for which scholarship has already been given.

The scholarship will be disbursed either: 

1. By cheque or electronic transfer directly to the institution in favor of the selected candidate, OR

2. By crediting the amount to the candidate’s bank account, if the candidate has already paid the required educational fees and provides satisfactory proof to the management.

3. The scholarship granted under this Scheme shall ordinarily be valid only for the academic year for which it is sanctioned.

4. A candidate seeking scholarship for the subsequent year(s) of the same course shall be required to submit a fresh application in the prescribed form along with the documents required by the Foundation.

5. Renewal of the scholarship shall not be automatic and shall be subject to:

  • the candidate having successfully passed the preceding academic year without any backlog, unless otherwise condoned by the Foundation;
  • the candidate maintaining satisfactory academic performance and conduct, as determined by the Foundation;
  • satisfactory attendance, wherever applicable;
  • continued fulfillment of the eligibility criteria prescribed under this Scheme; and
  • availability of funds and approval of the Management of the Foundation.

6. The decision of the Foundation regarding renewal or discontinuance of the scholarship shall be final and binding, and no applicant shall claim renewal as a matter of right.

7. The amount sanctioned and mode of disbursement shall be at the sole discretion of the management of the Cosmos Foundation and their decision shall be final and binding.

Note :- It is desirable that every student who has received and benefited from the educational scholarship granted by the Trust should, upon attaining financial stability, voluntarily contribute such amount as he or she may deem fit to the Trust. Such voluntary contributions shall be utilized by the Trust exclusively for extending educational scholarships to other deserving and needy students, thereby perpetuating the charitable object of the Trust. It is, however, expressly clarified that the scholarship granted by the Trust is a non-refundable grant, and no beneficiary shall be under any legal or contractual obligation to repay the scholarship amount, whether with or without interest. Any contribution made by a beneficiary shall be purely voluntary and shall not be construed as repayment of the scholarship.
